Vocabulary.

Hello, dear friend!
I would like you to learn some new words and expressions from my book as I did. I hope you'll do it with pleasure =)
1. an overwhelming grief - глубокое горе. (As you remember the main heroine's husband was dead);
2. collapse - сильно ослабеть, упасть от напряжения;
3. accomplishable - выполнимый, осуществимый;
4. tumour - опухоль;
5. tiled floor - кафельный пол (maybe you, my dear fried, has already known this phrase from "Everyday English" but I absolutely forgot it.);
6. sorrow - горе, печаль, скорбь;
7. inevitability - неизбежность, неминуемость, неотвратимость;
8. to drift - относить, гнать (Holly was drifted from room to room while she sobbed fat, salty tears.);
9. to sob - рыдать, всхлипывать;
10. puffy - отёкший (red and puffy eyes).

  1. Rita, you should work more on vocabulary - you used 3 examples out of 10. That's not much. You are suppposed to use some other vocabulary techniques like mind maps, associations, expressions, collocations, English definitions. You can use macmillan dictionary (http://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/collapse)
    Check collapse there and you'll find many expressions, synomym and SIX meanings.
    You are mature enough to work seriously on vocabulary.
